Dr Mark Young recognises the importance of allied health providers in the management of most spinal conditions. He holds both Consultant Physician and General Practice registration and therefore can see unreferred patients in exceptional or urgent circumstances. Urgent medical reasons include progressive neurological deficit or severe spinal pain. However, the patient’s Medicare rebate is very significantly reduced.

Dr Young is able to compliment allied health care by administering CT guided local anaesthetic spinal injections to make a diagnosis for targeted allied health rehabilitation, or cortisone injection to provide a therapeutic window to help prescribed exercise rehabilitation.
